Summer Internships
If you're looking for a summer internship that will give you real experience of a global business, look no further.
Our Investment division offers a summer internship in the Equity Research team. This nine-week programme will give you practical experience of how our research analysts gather the data they need to advise our Portfolio Managers on the best stocks to invest in.
Half the internship will be spent shadowing one of our Research Associates or Analysts on a particular sector. You will be able to attend company meetings, go on site visits and business trips, listen to relevant company results meetings, take part in any relevant conferences and prepare critical pieces of work in preparation for these meetings. For the other half you will be given your own research project to work. This will be assigned by a sponsor who wants to look into a specific new niche market, a new product soon to be launched and the potential growth of this part of the market or an emerging market that hasn’t been looked into yet. You will be given the full extent of our research capability to do this project as well as external resources we have access to in the market. At the end of your internship you will present back your project to Portfolio Managers, Directors of Research and Analysts and the output of your project will go towards deciding if you are right for the graduate programme.
During the 9 weeks you will meet and work with so many people to give you a real flavour of what working within Research would be like as a career. So it’s just as much a chance for you to get to know us as it is for us to find out more about you.
The internship is a fixed placement for nine weeks starting in July 2010. Although it doesn’t guarantee continuous employment, it could give you a route into one of our graduate programmes the following year, depending on your performance.
