Our European Sales and Marketing teams are essential to the continued growth of our business, marketing and developing products, building new business and managing client relationships.
As well as providing investment products, we also provide innovative wealth management and retirement planning solutions through our FundsNetwork™ and Defined Contributions (DC) pensions platforms.
Our European Sales & Marketing programme is dedicated to developing future leaders of our business. You’ll gain unrivalled experience in a top tier investment management firm, as well as the chance to experience different business cultures and Europe-wide opportunities.
From day one, you’ll join our experienced professionals in providing market-leading investment products and services to our extensive range of clients across Europe. Clients that include corporates, governments, charities, advisors, financial institutions and individuals.
Typically, you’ll enjoy three rotations across our European Sales, Marketing and Product Development groups, which could follow this format:
Rotation One - Working in the UK business development team preparing pitches for large corporate pension plans.
Rotation Two - Assignment in the Luxembourg office conducting competitor analysis for the research team.
Rotation Three - Joining the Core Marketing team in Germany.
Depending on your language ability you could rotate to at least one of our European offices. Throughout your rotations you’ll have clearly defined goals and objectives, and your performance will be consistently measured against the programme's core competencies. On each rotation you’ll be assigned a specific role, giving you all the responsibility you can handle. You'll be continually learning and challenging yourself on a daily basis, as well as developing your business language skills, enabling you to build on your knowledge and expertise.
You’ll need a genuine interest in sales and marketing in investment management, plus a real passion for understanding business growth.
You'll also need solid analytical skills, along with the confidence to work as part of a dynamic team and contribute fresh ideas in a real-world environment. With sharp presentation skills, you should have a genuine desire to learn and meet new people from a range of business cultures and backgrounds. As well as developing new skills along the way.
Ideally, we’re looking for graduates who are bilingual in English and either French or German. We also welcome Spanish, Italian and Nordic speakers - in fact the more languages you can speak, the better. You’ll also need to be ready to live and work in different European locations (dependant on language ability), or even as far as our India office. This will enable you to gain the maximum benefit from experiencing different business cultures.
Throughout the programme you will be placed on a UK contract. If you are working outside of your home country, we’ll offer you additional help and support with relocation so you can concentrate on building your professional skills and knowledge. This means we’ll find you furnished, leased accommodation for each rotation outside of the UK, for which a nominal deduction will be made from your salary. We’ll also arrange and pay for you to move your personal possessions to each new country.
